Strikes for Kids - PRMG Puyallup Branch Bowls for Charity

Strikes For Kids, a 501 (c) (3) national charitable organization, has been revamped and creating more buzz than ever.  Along with the participation of Paramount Residential Mortgage Group, Inc.’s (PRMG) branch 374, Puyallup, Washington, there has been a new addition to the stream of athletes enriching the lives of students across the United States, Seattle Mariners’, Dee Gordon.

In June, Dee Gordon hosted the Sixth Annual Strikes for Kids DC Bowling Classic, at West Seattle Bowl. This event gave the opportunity to give back to the community all while having fun with some of their favorite athletes.

This foundation strives to acknowledge and place an importance on the outstanding children in the neighborhood along with their achievements in sports, in the community and in school.

The event was sponsored by UPS, with attire provided by Smilegeneration.com. There were various raffles and giveaways.  Dee Gordon provided autographed canvas prints as part of the silent auction. Tacoma Lutheran Retirement community lent a helping hand by relieving the financial burden of back-to-school season by providing the backpacks and supplies for the upcoming backpack giveaway.

A portion of the donations earned from the DC Bowling Classic will later be used in their scholarship program that benefits graduating high school seniors on their quest for higher education. The students can earn anywhere from $250- $1,500. Not only are the high school age children rewarded, the younger, k-7th grade, students are rewarded as well through a bicycle give away funded from a portion of the proceeds from the bowling classic. Along with the bicycle giveaway they are invited to an afternoon of bowling with their favorite professional athletes.

PRMG places emphasis on lending a helping hand to those within the PRMG family. They also place an importance on giving back to those nationally and have been striving to give back in their continuous participation and partnership with Strikes for Kids over the years. Thank you to the team in Puyallup, Washington, Kris Pisha, Jesse Shoulders, Korey Pisha, Kirk Hanson, and Lynn Brown for attending the Sixth Annual Strikes for Kids event on June 22, 2019 and representing the PRMG brand in such a light that resulted in a huge impact on the foundation. With their help, the event sold out with 192 bowlers in attendance.
